The Lowcountry Digital Library
Philip Simmons was included in the Avery Research Center's newest initiative! The Lowcountry Digital History Initiative (LDHI) is an online exhibitions platform hosted by the Lowcountry Digital Library at the College of Charleston that officially launched in March 2014. In partnership with the College of Charleston’s Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture and the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World Program, a major goal of this digital project is to highlight underrepresented histories in the Lowcountry and in historically interconnected Atlantic World sites.
